Pureprofile has just been named Australia’s Top Digital Innovator in the SmartCompany Smart50 Awards, which recognises the nation’s fastest-growing and forward-thinking companies.
The Digital Innovator category rewards companies displaying innovation in digital operations, marketing strategies and development. SmartCompany says it gave Pureprofile the award for “the way it is disrupting digital marketing and creating new revenue streams to fund online content”.
Pureprofile has gone through a phase of rapid growth over the past year, listing on the ASX in July and subsequently acquiring programmatic advertising company Sparc Media, as well as launching a new consumer website.

A new era in relevance
But all of this is just the beginning. Pureprofile is pioneering a new era for advertising in which the consumer is no longer a passive bystander but a participant in the marketing process.
This is a new media model that creates solutions to the big challenges currently facing brands and publishers, giving more certainty to advertisers and keeping quality content essentially free for consumers.
What does all this mean? Brands will be able to deliver more relevant offers and advertising to the people who are in-market for their products, and consumers will be able to use their profiles to customise their experience of content and advertising and earn more from their interactions with brands.
Pureprofile CEO Paul Chan says:
“We now believe the time is right to disrupt another industry in turmoil. Publishers are struggling to fund content. People are using new methods like ad-blocking to avoid the marketing messages they see as irrelevant and intrusive.
“We now have an opportunity where marketing can get closer to our original vision of a two-way interaction. Pureprofile is developing new online marketing experiences that enable content to remain free, while publishers earn justified advertising dollars if they integrate these types of new experiences into their offering.”
